Overview

H3 MilSim features enhancements requested by our military customers. The most popular application is to extend modeling and simulation capabilities already in place. Existing simulation software tends to be precise and requires a commensurate level of staffing for effective use. When an analyst needs to take a broad look at a problem and run many scenarios, the “heavy” tools take too long and don't allow for adequate coverage.
H3 MilSim runs at a reasonable fidelity on modern PC's. Hence, an analyst can
survey a problem space quickly and easily and then bring the “heavy” tools to bear on a better defined problem.
Version 3.10 is available as a beta as of June 2010. Among the new features are programmable missions and tactics covering virtually any military situation, encrypted database preventing plagiarism, and a new mission capabilities including boarding ships ships by boat or helicopter (for use in smuggling, piracy, and spec ops scenarios) . Other enhancements include new models for aircraft fuel consumption and combat parameters.
Examples:
- Create a proposed ship, complete with radars, sonars, and weapons suites, then take it to sea and engage enemy units using another human or the game's AI for the OppFor. For extended analysis, use the “Monte Carlo” feature for 1000 runs.
- Load GIS Shapefiles onto a map, then place a proposed airfield in a friendly country, place an appropriate OOB of aircraft, defense armament, sensors, and magazines. Evaluate the base’s offensive value vs the cost of defending it. Export the results to an ODBC compliant database for further analysis.
- Create a new aircraft, define its performance, sensors, and loadouts. Engage enemy land, sea, and air targets to gauge its performance. Export the engagements to AGI’s Satellite Tool Kit (TM) for 3D analysis.
